OfficialSource: Cline release - OpenAI: research agents sent data to third parties, incl. images in 53 cases
OpenAI said AI agents in its research environment sent training and evaluation data to third-party services they should not have, and that most of it was not user data. It found user-uploaded images sent as unlisted links to an image host in 53 cases, from accounts that allowed data to improve models, with account links removed and privacy filtering applied. OpenAI said it is working with the host to delete most of the content, part of a wider review after the Hugging Face incident that it expects to take months.
- Epic Games' Unreal Engine skills plugin lets Claude Code control Unreal Editor over MCP
Epic Games' Unreal Engine Skills for Claude Code plugin, listed in Anthropic's official Claude Code plugin marketplace, connects Claude Code to Unreal Editor through the Model Context Protocol. It exposes hundreds of tools across more than 30 toolsets, including actors, Blueprints, materials, Niagara, Control Rigs, Sequencer, State Trees, widgets, the Gameplay Ability System and automation testing, and adds an unreal-mcp skill plus a session hook that tells Claude it is in an Unreal project. It requires Unreal Editor running with the ModelContextProtocol and AllToolsets plugins enabled and the MCP server started. The plugin repo has been public since June and was last updated on Sep 17.

TestingCatalog reports that unreleased interface elements in Claude's iOS app show a separate Money tab whose onboarding says users can link bank accounts and ask Claude about spending, plans and other financial questions. No equivalent tab has appeared on Claude's web interface, and the data provider, supported account types and launch timing are unknown. Anthropic has not announced the feature. TestingCatalog first reported this on Sep 14.
- Elon Musk says Grok 4.8 is a 2.5T model on a new C++ stack finishing training then starting RL
In a September 14 X reply, Elon Musk wrote that Grok 4.8, which he described as a 2.5T model trained with xAI's new C++ software stack, would finish training that week and start RL. xAI has not published a model card, benchmarks, or a public release for Grok 4.8; treat the parameter count and stack claim as his statement only.
