• Trump unveils Super Intelligence Force task force chaired by DNI Jay Clayton, per TechCrunch

President Trump announced a new federal task force, the Super Intelligence Force, via Truth Social to coordinate government efforts so America keeps leading in super intelligence, per TechCrunch. It is chaired by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton — effectively the AI czar Trump promised — with the FTC chair, a War undersecretary and the OPM director as vice chairs. Per the WSJ, the task force has 120 days to produce a report on AI's risks and opportunities, with a charter focused on SI-enabled threats while preventing overregulation. The name follows Trump's executive order rebranding AI as super intelligence.

• Trump and tech CEOs sign 'morally binding' AI code of conduct, per The Decoder

President Trump and tech CEOs including Meta's Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI's Greg Brockman, Nvidia's Jensen Huang and Elon Musk signed an AI code of conduct at the White House. The code has third-party auditors confirm AI models are operating as intended, plus an independent board overseeing internal safety checks. Per Politico, it is only morally binding — no legal force, and consequences for violations remain unclear. Trump also floated a ten-member oversight committee and signed an executive order renaming AI "Super Intelligence".
