- Cursor adds DeepSeek V4.1 Flash across effort levels on its CursorBench cost frontier

- Cursor ships an Agent SDK
Cursor's changelog introduces an Agent SDK, exposing Cursor's agent capabilities to developers building their own integrations.
- Cursor cloud agents can now build shareable canvases, and the Environments API enters beta
Cursor's cloud agents can now build interactive canvases as part of their work, and a finished canvas can be shared with a team by link. The Environments API is in beta for programmatically creating and managing the cloud environments agents run in. Cloud agent environments now support up to 300 repositories, and large environments load 5x faster.
- Cursor opens the Origin App Marketplace with more than 20 apps and public submissions
Cursor says Origin, its source control platform, now integrates with more than 20 apps for deployments, CI, code review, security, monitoring and project management, from partners including Cloudflare, Vercel, CircleCI, CloudBees, CodeRabbit, Greptile, Semgrep, Sentry and Linear. The marketplace is now open to public submissions: apps authenticate with an app JWT and installation tokens, receive webhook events and write back check runs, pull request comments and reviews. CloudBees separately released a beta, MIT-licensed Jenkins plugin that builds Origin branches and pull requests and reports checks back to Origin.
- Cursor's iOS app can now see and reply to local agents running on your computer
Cursor added Remote Control, which lets the iOS app view and message local agents running on a paired computer. It is on by default for everyone except Enterprise organizations, where admins can enable it. Agents keep running on the computer rather than moving to the cloud, so the machine must stay on and online.
- Cursor lets users replace its system prompt with their own
Cursor announced users can now replace the editor's system prompt with their own. Rules, skills, and tool schemas still load when a custom system prompt is set. The company says the feature is being enabled account by account.
- Cursor SDK 1.0.31 adds run.steer() to redirect an agent mid-turn
Cursor SDK 1.0.31 adds run.steer(), which injects a message into the agent turn that is in flight rather than cancelling it, per the official changelog. Steering a foreground subagent moves it to the background. The release continues Cursor's run of agent-control updates alongside MCP tool annotations and replaceable system prompts.
- Cursor adds MCP annotations like readOnlyHint to custom tools
Cursor announced that custom tools can now carry MCP annotations such as readOnlyHint and destructiveHint. With the annotations, the model can tell a lookup from a delete before it calls a tool.
