Kai McPheeters published StarSkirmish Bench v0.2: each LLM gets one hour in its lab's first-party CLI to write a Protoss C++ bot for StarCraft: Brood War, scored by win rate against human-written and demo bots. GPT-6 Astra leads, ahead of GPT-6.1 Sol; Gemini 4 Argon, Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Fable 5.1 cluster around 37–39. Against top human bots Stardust, PurpleWave and BananaBrain, even Astra wins only about 7% of games. GPT-6.1 Sol is highlighted as best score-per-dollar; practice against strong roster bots predicts final score.
