Prime Intellect released a version of its open-source Prime Agent rewritten from scratch in Rust, saying Prime Agent itself orchestrated a swarm of more than 2,000 agents over two weeks to do the rewrite. According to the company, time to first input is about 14x faster than the TypeScript version (cold start 55.8 ms versus 737.8 ms), memory after startup is about 5.7x smaller (106.0 MB versus 607.4 MB) and the install is 2.9x smaller (59.6 MB). It also adds native Windows support (beta) and Homebrew installation. The company notes its comparisons with other agent harnesses use its own runtime suite and should be interpreted with caution.
