Notion says Notion Agent and Custom Agents now run on new infrastructure with their own computer and browser and can work on a single task for more than 24 hours, up from five minutes. Its upgraded Auto model router picks a model per task, which Notion says matches frontier models at about 90% lower average cost. Business and Enterprise seats now get monthly Standard and Select credits; the credit system applies now to new workspaces, and existing workspaces move over on Nov. 2.

Notion 3.8 connects outside agents through MCP, syncs Skills across agents and lets ChatGPT plans cover Notion AI

Notion published this on Oct 13, 2026 (source: notion.com).

Notion 3.8 lets any MCP-compatible agent read workspace context and update docs and task trackers, with admin controls to see who connected each AI tool and revoke access. Notion Agent and Custom Agents can now draw on 150+ MCP connections such as HubSpot, Stripe and Cloudflare, and a new Skills API syncs Skills written in Notion to agents including ChatGPT and Claude. ChatGPT Plus or Pro subscribers on Business and Enterprise plans can use their plan to cover AI usage in Notion with no markup. The release also adds column permissions in databases, rebuilt synced databases for GitHub, Jira and Salesforce, and upgraded version history that attributes edits to people and agents.
