Hone introduced Engines, AI that is assigned goals such as improving customer retention rather than individual tasks, onboards itself into a company's systems and history, and keeps working on the goal across sessions. The company says Engines learn from feedback and the results of their own work and are measured on economic value. Hone raised a $60 million seed round from Benchmark and Index Ventures; its team includes alumni of Cognition, Decagon, Ramp, Mercor and Jane Street.
