Gudea, a startup that calls itself the "storm tracker for the internet," pitched on the Startup Battlefield stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, TechCrunch reports. Rather than counting mentions and hashtags, its AI analyzes behavior, relationships and the paths information travels across more than 500 mainstream and fringe sites and platforms, including X, Reddit and TikTok, to show who is driving a conversation and where it could head. Founded in 2023 by Keith Presley, Jonathan Sperber and James Thomin, it has nearly 40 clients, which Presley says include a Fortune 50 telecom company and one of the world's largest AI labs. Presley says about nine in ten stories it now examines show inauthentic activity, up from about one in four when it started, and it plans city-block-level geolocation for narratives next year.
