Electric Plant has raised an $11.2 million seed round led by Onto Ventures and Climactic to bring its plant sensors and its Bombadil model to market, TechCrunch reports. The company says Bombadil interprets the electrical signals in plant stems across about 125 species to tell growers what plants need. Its sensors screw into the living tissue under the bark and cost tens of dollars, according to co-founder and CEO Justin Mast.
