    A WeChat report claims ByteDance is accelerating its personal-assistant push: an internal project codenamed 'Spell' will be deeply integrated into Doubao, and the new product — named 'Xiaodou', a name settled over the summer — will launch as a standalone app. It is currently in internal testing and the final version may change before release.
