    OpenAI Codex lead Thibault Sottiaux posts Day 19 small updates: Dots calls connect much faster, changing reasoning mid-conversation in Codex & Work no longer invalidates the cache, and the Codex CLI was updated.

    OpenAI Codex rust-v0.164.0 adds ten numbered /presets slots for reusable prompts, inline /model and /permissions arguments, fullscreen image preview on Kitty/Sixel terminals, enterprise MCP auth via Codex account grants, credential masking in remote Bash/Zsh, and enables the Amazon Bedrock setup wizard by default.
