JB Pritzker said he expects his children to live to 100 or 110 because AI will solve many medical problems, but said AI is potentially existential and that managing rivals may end up looking like nuclear-era mutually assured destruction. He said Illinois, New York and California are the only states with AI safety laws so far and that Congress's inaction leaves states going it alone.
